Nanjala Nyabola


Nanjala Nyabola is the Africa Programme Manager, currently based in Nairobi, Kenya. Prior to joining Witness she was the Head of Programmes and the Programme Coordinator for Regional and International Dialogue at the East and Horn of Africa Office of the Heinrich Boell Foundation, and held a fellowship with Catholic Relief Services in Antananarivo, Madagascar. Nanjala also conducts independent research and advocacy on refugees, displacement and humanitarian interventions around the world, as well as media and advocacy in post crisis situations. She holds an undergraduate degree in African Studies and Political Science from the University of Birmingham (UK), an MSc in Forced Migration and an MSc in African Studies, both from the University of Oxford which she attended as a Rhodes Scholar, and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.
