Revathy Ashok


Revathy Ashok runs Iris Consulting, an independent consulting practice, working with early- and mid- stage companies, helping them scale. She is an Advisor to Athena Infonomics and works with the firm on Public Policy Research and Consulting in PPP and Governance models in social sectors such as Water, Waste Management, Skill Development etc.
Ms Revathy has had successful leadership experience in Senior Management positions of over thirty three years, handling a wide variety of portfolios, (Capital Raising, Business Development, Finance, Commercial etc) spanning a variety of industries: Private Equity, software and IT enabled services, manufacturing and infrastructure. Previously as Managing Director, Tishman Speyer, PE Fund (USD 53 Bn AUM), she set up the India operations, oversaw investments of USD 150 Mn over four years. During her tenure as worldwide CFO with Syntel, a US based Nasdaq listed IT services company, the company saw rapid growth and increase in market cap from USD 600 Mn to USD 1.2 Bn. She was the group CFO for the Microland Group, and was responsible for setting up Tyco Electronics in India, articulating its strategic direction for growth, setting up JVs, Middle East operations and driving acquisitions.
Ms Revathy has a bachelor’s degree in science from Mount Carmel College and is a gold medallist from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore. S he is an Independent Member on the Boards of several companies, on the Advisory Boards of start- ups and a Trustee of the Academy of Theater Arts, BLT Foundation.
In 2005, Ms Revathy was named one of the ten most powerful women in the Indian IT industry by Dataquest and is the only CFO in India to have run a US-based NASDAQ listed corporation. In 2011, she was nominated one of the top women achievers in Business in South India by CII.
