O que significa ser uma mulher africana, ou uma mulher afrodescendente na contemporaneidade? Partindo deste questionamento, o documentário tenta reconstruir um conjunto de imagens e representações que foram produzidas ao longo do processo de invasão e colonização do continente Africano e da América Latina através da vivência de duas cineastas negras, uma brasileira e outra moçambicana. What does it mean to be an African woman, or an Afro-descendant woman in contemporary times? Based on this questioning, the documentary attempts to reconstruct a set of images and representations that were produced during the process of invasion and colonization of the African continent and Latin America through the experience of two black filmmakers, one Brazilian and the other Mozambican.

OBJETIVOS DE IMPACTO > Restabelecer conexões entre a comunidade africana e a diáspora africana, começando com Moçambique e Brasil, para reafirmar as origens e reconstruir os laços do patrimônio cultural compartilhado. >Usar o filme como uma ferramenta para as mulheres da comunidade da diáspora africana do Brasil e Moçambique articularem o impacto contínuo da colonização, desafiar estereótipos e narrativas e substituí-las por novas perspectivas e histórias culturais. IMPACT GOALS >Restore connections between the African community and the African Diaspora, starting with Mozambique and Brazil, to reaffirm the origins and reconstruct the ties of shared cultural heritage. >Use film as a tool for women in the African Diaspora community in Brazil and in Mozambique to articulate the continuing impact of colonization, challenge stereotypes and narratives, and replace them with new cultural perspectives and histories.
