This project comprises photograph/s of queer, transgender menstruators, menstruators with Menstrual or Premenstrual and Reproductive disorders, menstruators with disabilities, and people experiencing menopause (surgical, chemical, or natural).
The Photograph is either taken by them – a photo of their bodies or body parts or things that resemble the menstrual experience of the person, their pain, dysphoria, survival, isolation, depression, and/or other experiences. The photo is accompanied by a 1-minute audio clip by the person.
Disorders include Endometriosis, Adenomyosis, Fibroids, PMDD, and Dysmenorrhea.
All the stories have something to say, with themes ranging from medical gaslighting, mental health, gender bias, gender identity, and chronic pain.
